The school was founded in 1957.
It has been Associated UNESCO since 1963.
In 1983 it was rewarded by the medal for productive international activity in the field of education, science and culture.
In 1997 the school was rewarded as the «The best school of the year in St.Petersburg».

From 1999 to 2002 the students of our school were the winners of the International contest «Pushkin Prize».
Since 2004 our school has become the coordinating center of ASPnet (Associated Schools of UNESCO) and has been participating in activities, which are announced by UNESCO. Being an associated member of St.Petersburg’s branch of the British – Russian Society, the school takes part in different competitions and contests.
In 2004 – the winner of International contest «Mondialogo».
In 2008 - Our school team participated in International Symposium in China and got a Special Recognitions’ Prize for Sustainability.
It should be said that our school is the only Russian school which got a prize. We are the 4th in the world. Doesn’t it sound great?
Being an associated member of St.Petersburg’s branch of the British – Russian Society, the school takes part in different competitions and contests such as: the competition “What do you know about Scotland”, devoted to Robert Burns, Pushkin Prizes, and the annual Shakespeare’s Readings. The students of our school are always among the prize winners.
